About the Session

Four startups will get to pitch to world-class clinicians and top hospital administrators at the 2nd Annual Startup Shark Tank at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. Digital health is poised to significantly change the way patients and clinicians engage in healthcare. More so than ever digital health platforms must show impact while managing to interface with EMR’s and adhere to strict security requirements. The Startup Shark Tank aims to bridge the gap in knowledge and design by connecting the winning team with the opportunity to gain knowledge, feedback, and insights from Brigham Innovation Hub, BWH Clinicians and hospital decision makers.

This session will be moderated by Scott Kirsner, a journalist who writes about innovation and entrepreneurship. His “Innovation Economy” column appears Sundays in the Boston Globe, and he also writes a companion blog for BetaBoston. He is also editor of the site Innovation Leader, which focuses on R&D, product development, and new initiatives within large companies.
