$30,000 of transitional funding during the early critical years of an academic career when junior faculty are juggling increased professional and personal responsibilities. Priority is given to primary caregivers, faculty who are URiM, or women faculty.

Two awards of $1,000 are available. Research Assistants/Technicians and Clinical Research Coordinators (or similar) at the Brigham are eligible to apply. Does not include postdoctoral fellows.
Brigham Research Education collaborates with a number of research and education groups and organizations within and beyond the hospital.
Rolling application.
Small awards, typically $500 – $1,500, to support junior investigators pursuing a new scientific project, training, or collaboration not otherwise funded in their labs. Up to $2,500 available for URiM, women, health equity projects, and collaborations.
Due First Monday of April, August, and December
$50,000 in interim support for independent investigators who submitted a non-mentored NIH grant application that was reviewed but missed the funding payline. Recipients will be chosen based on need and merit.
Due April 22, 2024
$100,000 to be awarded via an international public voting process (after internal review) to investigators who are working to answer provocative questions or solve grand problems.
