Obesity Incubator and Poster Session

March 26, 2018 @ 1:30 pm - 5:30 pm

The Cardiovascular, Diabetes & Metabolic Disorders (CVDM) Research Center cordially invites you to participate in its sixth annual obesity incubator session. The goal of this session is to bring together BWH clinicians and researchers working in the fields of obesity, diabetes and cardiovascular disease to address this challenging public health crisis by promoting cross-collaborative research efforts and stimulating new ideas for further investigation.

To promote vibrant scientific discussions, the plenary session will feature short talks by selected junior investigators in the field of obesity research, followed by a presentation by special guest Rachel Carmody, Ph.D., Assistant Professor of Human Evolutionary Biology at Harvard University, followed by a keynote presentation from Rudolph L. Leibel, M.D., Professor of Pediatrics and Medicine and Director, Division of Molecular Genetics and the Naomi Berrie Diabetes Center at Columbia University. Following the talks, there will be an interactive poster session focusing on early stage ideas in the areas of obesity, diabetes and cardiovascular diseases.
