During the last Quarterly Meeting on November 29, BWH PLC members voted to ratify an overhaul of our bylaws. The new bylaws introduce two new elected positions to the PLC Executive Board: the Registrar and the Treasurer. You can read the descriptions and responsibilities of these positions below or on page 4 of the bylaws here.

Since the bylaws were ratified partway through the year, the PLC is holding a special election to fill these roles for the remainder of the one-year term, until the next General Election in August.

Any BWH PDA Affiliate (i.e. a current BWH Postdoctoral Research Fellow or equivalent) is eligible to nominate themselves for these two executive board roles, whether they have served on the PLC previously or not. Nominations will be open for 2 weeks, closing at 11PM on Monday, December 19. Voting will commence in the following two weeks, ending at 11PM on Monday, January 2.

To nominate yourself, please email BWHPDA@partners.org stating your name, department, and which role you are seeking, and attach a one-page (500 word) max nomination statement answering the 3 questions in the attached nomination template. by 11PM Monday, December 19, 2022.

Please reach out to BWHPDA@partners.org with any questions about the roles, the process, or the PDA as a whole.
