Amanda E. Lyall, PhD is an Assistant Professor in the Departments of Psychiatry at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. She received her doctorate in Neurobiology from the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill after which she joined the Brigham by becoming a postdoctoral research fellow within the Stuart T. Hauser Clinical Research Training Program (NIMH-funded T32). Her research focuses on leveraging advanced multi-modal brain imaging techniques to identify and describe the underlying biological mechanisms contributing to severe mental illness, with a particular focus on the study of psychotic disorders and eating disorders. Dr. Lyall has also served as a Visiting Lecturer in the Department of Psychology at Wellesley College for two years and is presently the Associate Director of the aforementioned NIMH T32 with her mentors at the Psychiatry Neuroimaging Laboratory, Drs. Martha Shenton and Marek Kubicki.
