Scientific Advisory Board

The Brigham and Women’s Hospital Scientific Advisory Board (BWH SAB), comprised of scientists, venture capitalists and pharmaceutical leaders, provides strategic counsel and vision to further enhance research at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. SAB members provide invaluable guidance for a range of initiatives as well as cultivating an entrepreneurial environment and identifying scientific areas in which the Brigham can be a global leader.

At the annual meetings, SAB members may: consider novel, creative ways to interface with structures and entities aligned with our goal of promoting innovative, translational research; provide guidance and recommendations on industry relationships and suggest potential partnerships and collaborations; consider new opportunities and provide input on strategies to leverage BWH strengths so as to continue to enhance biomedical science; and work with BWH leadership to develop and implement strategies to secure stable resources from philanthropy and investment to support research. Through this work, the BWH SAB helps guide the next era of biomedical research advances from our institution.
