The Executive Committee of the Brigham Research Institute (BRI) would like to invite you to attend the Research Faculty and Trainee Forum.
The BRI’s overarching mission is to accelerate discoveries that improve human health; supporting strategies include fostering groundbreaking, interdepartmental, and interdisciplinary research, ranging from basic fundamental studies to clinical innovations. We strive to provide a clear voice (internally and externally) for the entire BWH research community, raise the profile of research at BWH, develop mission-centric collaborations with external entities and engage the scientific community in fundraising.
We need your help, as research faculty and trainees, making sure that the BRI is working to address the needs and concerns of researchers across the institution. These forums provide opportunities for investigators from across BWH departments to meet with the BRI Executive Committee, BWH leadership, and MGB leadership and provide feedback directly.
Once you have registered, we will send you a confirmation with the Zoom link or/and location.
If you have suggestions for discussion topics feel free to send them to us in advance at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/24ResearchForumTopics.
The BRI is going bottled-water free! As it has been stated “more than 17 million barrels of oil are required to produce enough plastic water bottles to meet America’s annual demand for bottled water” and every year, 11 million metric tons of plastics enter our ocean. We hope as an institution and department to become more environmentally friendly. We encourage other departments to do the same! Please don’t forget to bring your filled reusable water bottles to all of our BRI events.
