Dr. Boyce obtained his BA from Skidmore College and his MD from the University of Massachusetts. After completing his residency in Pediatrics and UMASS Medical Center in Worcester, he completed fellowships in Pediatric Pulmonology at Massachusetts General Hospital and in Allergy and Immunology at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital. His research has been funded continuously by NIH since 1995, focusing on the mechanisms by which lipid mediators of inflammation control features of allergic pulmonary inflammation, particularly as they relate to mast cell and platelet function. He is currently the principal investigator on three R01 grants, an R37, a U19 and a T32. He has trained over 30 PhD, MD, and MD/PhD fellows who have full-time faculty positions at Medical Schools and Universities in the US, Asia and Europe.
