Biography

Rocky Barilla is a Ph.D. student in the laboratory of Vijay Kuchroo. In 2011, he received his Bachelor’s of Science in Cellular & Molecular Biology from Johns Hopkins University, performing undergraduate research in Alena Savonenko’s lab on specific proteolytic pathways in Alzheimer’s Disease. After graduating, he joined George Miller’s lab at NYU studying the immunological basis of pancreatic cancer and liver disease, focusing on myeloid cell/T cell interactions in the tissue. In 2016, he moved to Boston to pursue his Ph.D. in Immunology at Harvard University, studying neuronal responses to gastrointestinal inflammation in the Kuchroo lab.
