Call for Abstracts: Connors-BRI Symposium 2024

All researchers interested in women’s health or sex/gender medicine are invited to attend and participate in the upcoming Connors-BRI Research Symposium on March 20th, from 2:30-6:00PM at the Hale Building for Transformative Medicine. For a chance to present, researchers from all institutions are invited to submit an abstract by February 14th. The in-person event will feature a keynote address by Dr. Rebecca Shansky, followed by a series of short talks and poster presentations from selected abstracts. The goal of the event is to bring together people in the area to share ideas and foster collaborations.

ABSTRACT GUIDELINES/ELIGIBILITY

  1. Abstracts from all Boston area researchers in any field of basic, clinical, translational or epidemiological research related to sex- or gender-informed medicine or the health of women will be considered.
  2. Written abstracts (300 words or less) along with a description (150 words or less) of how this work applies to sex- or gender-informed medicine or the health of women will be judged to select speakers for short talks or
    present a poster.
  3. Previously presented research is acceptable for both featured talks and poster presentations.
  4. Previous research that has been newly analyzed using sex as a biological variable is encouraged.
  5. Preference will be given to abstracts describing novel hypotheses, innovative technologies, or impactful discoveries.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

  • Abstracts are due February 14th and must be submitted here.
  • Abstracts selected for a poster presentation or a short talk will be notified by March 1st
  • Successful applicants must be available to present in-person at the event on March 20, 2024
