September 30, 2020 @ 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Sex-biased biology and risk from the classical complement genes in schizophrenia and multiple autoimmune diseases

Steven McCarroll, Ph.D (HMS and Broad Institute)

Steven McCarroll, Ph.D, is the Dorothy and Milton Flier Professor of Biomedical Science and Genetics at Harvard Medical School and the Director of Genomic Neurobiology at the Broad Institute’s Stanley Center for Psychiatric Research. Dr. McCarroll’s research focuses on the links between genetics and human biology and disease, including cancer, schizophrenia, neurodegeneration and autoimmune disease. His group also develops technologies (such as Drop-seq) to bring a ‘big data’ approach to biology through a combination of computational and lab-based methods.

For more information, see Dr. McCarroll’s lab website.
