Harvard Chan Microbiome in Public Health Center (HCMPH) Symposium

May 8, 2020 @ 8:45 am - 4:30 pm

The second annual Harvard Chan Microbiome in Public Health Center (HCMPH) symposium is on May 8, 2020, and will focus on molecular bioactivity in the human microbiome and its implications for public health. This includes the latest science on biochemistry carried out by the microbiome, its impact on host metabolism, the microbiome’s role as a mediator of dietary responses, and its ability to degrade and modify xenobiotic compounds such as pharmaceuticals. Some of the most successful microbiome science to date has bridged the gap between population-scale discovery surveys and detailed underlying molecular mechanism, and we’re looking forward to sharing it with the symposium’s speakers and audience at this year’s event. Please check out the Symposium Program for more details.
