The mission of the BWH Genomics Center is to discover genetic variations that underlie, influence and cause disease. The Center uses this knowledge in prevention and treatment while providing a voice for the human genetics research community at BWH.
The Genomics Center is composed of BWH geneticists specializing in a wide variety of niches including disease and population genetics, model systems, epidemiology, pharmacogenetics, translational genetics, diagnostics, statistical genetics, sequence-based platforms, technologies, genetics education and counseling.
The Center aims to catalyze the process of making BWH a national and international leader in the use of genetic and genomic information. Hoping to make monumental discoveries to treat patients and promote better health care.
